Damage to the Ward's Volvo-Penta 4.3 Engine revealed by independent inspection on 7-15-2008 by a Volvo certified mechanic.

This appears to be the location of the visible damage. It will be confirmed when the boat is returned from the independent Volvo certified mechanic. ----------------------------------->

subject   Boat photos
Hi Mr. Ward. Here are the photos of your boat. Per the shop they stated
that this is a freeze crack. Shop said that if this was overheat other
things on the engine would have melted and would have shown signs of heat.

Volvo-Penta certified mechanic report states: "Partially drained oil and water from inside of block. Removed intake manifold.  Valley of block cracked.  Also intake manifold cracked. Motor must have been full of water during hard freeze.".
